Rev. Faith

Rev. Faith Njahĩra (pronounced as “jar-hay-rah") is a wheelchair user with muscular dystrophy from Kenya who enjoys picturing herself as a rolling mermaid as she wheels through life. She enjoys teaching, reading, driving, basking in the sun and sitting in silence just as she enjoys dancing to music.

Rev. Faith has always had a different view of life, often seeing and knowing more than those around her, which has made her question a lot (including spiritual and religious matters). As she grew into her muscular dystrophy, her awareness of the world around her and how different it was from the world within became clearer, louder. In her life’s work as an educator, creative and researcher in Disability Studies she enjoys designing spaces grounded with a sense of humour and curiosity and her ability to heal with her presence or words.

After years of finding solace in the endless magical adventures of books, very vivid dreams, living or travelling to most of the continents in pursuit of self,… she found her spiritual sanctuary. Rev. Faith got her first energy reading in 2019 and for once, her entire world truly made sense. Since then, she has enjoyed playing in the Sanctuary space at the Berkeley Psychic Institute, remembering and owning her tools, healing herself and graduating valedictorian of her Clairvoyant Training Program.

Rev. Faith enjoys holding space for others to find and heal themselves through readings and healings.
